I had the pleasure of visiting Roatan, and it was an unforgettable vacation. The locals were incredibly friendly, the food was delicious, and the beaches were nothing short of breathtaking. I chose to stay in West Bay, which is distinct from the West End—two very different experiences. West Bay is perfect for those seeking relaxation and leisurely beach strolls. The West End, on the other hand, has a vibrant scuba diving culture. It's easy to hop on a water taxi for just $5 and explore both areas. While the West End is fun to explore and also stunningly beautiful, I highly recommend making West Bay a priority on your Roatan adventure.

Infinity Bay
Infinity Bay is an exceptional place to stay, and I highly recommend it. The tiki bar downstairs offers fantastic drinks and has amazing bartenders. Our room was a spacious three-bedroom, three-bathroom suite with a full kitchen and living room. Each bedroom had its own balcony, and there was an elevator to our third-floor room. The resort is situated right on the water, and you can easily catch a water taxi from the dock located there. It's the perfect location, within walking distance to all the beach bars and restaurants. The service was impeccable, and the room included a complimentary breakfast every day.
Happy Harry’s
We hopped on a water taxi from West Bay to West End, which conveniently dropped us off right at Happy Harry’s Hideaway. I was pleasantly surprised by how budget-friendly it was—beers were just $2! The staff were incredibly welcoming and made the experience even better. Happy Harry's Hideaway in Roatan, set in the famous over-the-water Foster building, is renowned for its lively atmosphere. Offering breathtaking sunset views, live music, and even a deck for sea dives, it’s a hotspot for locals and visitors. Known for its affordable drinks, including some of the cheapest beers on the island, it’s the ideal place to relax without stretching your wallet. From indulging in their signature puffy tacos to watching NFL games or rubbing Harry's belly for a bit of good luck, Happy Harry’s guarantees an unforgettable time!
